Blocking and unblocking users
Updated 5 Oct 2026
If you sell on Yews, you can block someone from interacting with your store.
Block a user
Open your conversation with them.
Tap the ⋮ menu at the top.
Choose Block user and confirm.
You can also block someone when you report them from a conversation, by choosing Also block in the report form.
What a block does
Once blocked, the person can't:
start a new conversation with you or send messages in your conversations
add your items to their cart, check out or pay for your items
make, counter or accept offers on your items
ask questions on your listings
add your items to their favourites
receive or use custom checkouts from you
Blocking also clears your items from their cart, closes their open offers with you and cancels any active custom checkouts you'd sent them. They aren't sent a notification about the block. If they try to do any of the above, they see "You can't interact with this store." They can still view your public listings and store page.
Paid orders carry on as normal after a block. Delivery, receiving, disputes, cancellations and reviews all still work, and you can both keep messaging until the order is complete or cancelled.
A block only works one way. It stops them interacting with your store, but you can still shop at their store if they have one.
Unblock a user
Go to Blocked users, also in Profile under Account.
Tap Unblock next to their name.
Unblocking restores their access. Anything cleared when you blocked them, such as cart items, offers or custom checkouts, isn't restored.
Not a seller?
Only stores can block users. If someone is bothering you, report them from the ⋮ menu in your conversation. See Reporting a listing, seller, user or question.
