Using suggestions from your photo
Updated 5 Oct 2026
On this page
To save you typing, the Sell form can read your first photo and suggest some details for your listing.
How it works
Start a new listing and add your photos.
While your first photo is read, you'll see "Finding details in your photo…".
When suggestions are ready, you'll see "We've suggested some details from your photo". Tap Review.
For each suggestion, tap Use to add it to your listing, or skip it. Tap Use all to add them all, or Dismiss to skip the rest.
If a suggestion would replace something you've already typed, it says "Replaces what you entered".
What can be suggested
Title, up to 80 characters
Price, as a rough estimate for the item in good used condition
Description, a few short sentences
Category
Tags
Brand, only when it closely matches a brand in our list
You always choose the condition yourself.
Suggestions are a starting point. Check each one against your item before you publish, especially the price, category and brand. You're responsible for what your listing says.
Good to know
Suggestions are only offered when you create a new listing, not when you edit one.
Only your first photo is used, once per listing.
Sometimes there won't be a suggestion, for example if the photo isn't clear or the feature is busy. Just fill in the details yourself.
