When do I get paid for a sale?
Updated 5 Oct 2026
When someone buys from you, their payment is held by Yews until the order is complete. This protects both of you.
When the money is released
Your payment is released to your Yews wallet when either of these happens first:
the buyer taps Mark as received, or
3 days pass after delivery (or after you mark a local pickup as handed over) without the buyer reporting a problem.
You'll get a "Payment released" notification and email when the money reaches your wallet.
If the buyer reports a problem, the payment stays on hold while we review it. We then either release it to you or refund the buyer.
How much you receive
Your payout for an order is the item price, less any discounts you offered. If you offered free shipping, the shipping cost you covered is also taken off.
The buyer pays the shipping and any buyer protection fee on top of the item price, so those don't come out of your payout. You can see the payout for each order on the sale's page, under Payout.
Where to see it
Sales lists your orders and their status.
Wallet shows your available balance and any amount held in escrow that's waiting to be released.
Getting it into your bank
Once the money is in your wallet, you can withdraw it (minimum R50) or spend it on Yews. See Withdrawing money to your bank account.
