Paying for an order

On this page
You pay for every order on Yews at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, and Yews never stores your full card details.
Choose a payment method
At checkout, the Payment method row shows how you'll pay. Tap it to see the options available to you:
A saved card: your default card is chosen first. Expired cards are shown but can't be used.
New card: enter your card details. You can tick Save this card to use it again next time.
See Saving and managing cards.
Use your points and wallet
If you have Yews Points or money in your Yews wallet, you'll see switches for them under the payment method:
Points pay first. When the switch is on, we use as many of your points as the order allows. 10 points are worth R1.
Wallet pays next, from your available balance.
Your payment method pays whatever is left.
If points and your wallet cover the whole total, the payment method row reads "Fully covered — no payment needed" and the button changes to Place order.
You have 30 minutes to pay
Placing an order reserves the items for you. Complete payment within 30 minutes, or the order is released and the items go back on sale.
If you leave checkout before paying:
Go to Orders and open the order. It shows Payment pending.
Tap Resume payment, choose a payment method and pay. Or tap Cancel order.
If a payment completes after your order has expired or been cancelled, we credit the amount to your Yews wallet.
Prices and currency
All prices are in South African rand. The total at checkout is what you pay: items, any discounts, shipping and buyer protection if you've chosen it. See Buying an item.
