Answering buyers' questions on your listings
Updated 5 Oct 2026
On this page
Buyers can ask questions on your active listings. You'll get a notification when someone asks one.
Answer a question
Open the listing and go to the questions section. Unanswered questions are only visible to you and the person who asked.
Type your answer (3 to 500 characters).
Post it.
Once answered, the question and your answer are visible to everyone viewing the listing.
Editing your answer
You can edit an answer for 24 hours after you post it. After that, it's locked.
Good to know
Questions close once the item is sold. Existing questions and answers stay visible, but no new ones can be added or answered.
You can't delete a buyer's question. If a question is offensive, spam, or asks to deal outside Yews, report it instead. See Reporting a listing, seller, user or question.
Never share payment or contact details in answers. Off-platform deals aren't covered by buyer protection.
If someone you've blocked had asked questions before, you can still answer or report them, but they can't ask new ones.
